There is no conflict of interest if board members sit on both the BID and the EDC. See statements from Jackie Ward, etc., and also the Conflict of Interest Statement.
Discuss accounting firm proposals and costs. Summary here.
FYI: Regarding our current budget for accounting:
We budgeted $7800/year for accounting ($650/month)
There is no category for sw, but there is a category for website maintenance. That is set at $1,100, which should include all expenses we incur already.
We have $500 budgeted for misc.
Watering the park (sod to be installed in May)
Brad Bingheim <bbingheim@mcscwi.org> of Milwaukee Community Service Corps. explored whether they could water the park for a cost that was less than the price KEI supplied and they cannot.
Neighbors of the park? Rob to inquire with Laura; they will discuss.
Stormguarden not available to discuss until March.

IV. New Business
Coupon Committee: Coupons and passport presentation with pitch to spend $900 - $2000 on this idea.
Need approval to spend $3,000 on annual audit (our budget is $2500). Operating Plan says that “The BID Board will have the authority and responsibility to prioritize expenditures and to revise the District budget as necessary to match the funds actually available.”
There is no other language in the BID Bylaws: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vmizzD-UtxChzpgdjwcVAcjzuIytYbo_/view?usp=drive_link
Or the Law for creating a BID that restricts out the board allocates funding.
Policy Committee: Approve BID 16 policies
Approve Budget for Annual Meeting (As for the same budget of $1500 as last year.)
Approve Budget for Uptown Get Down for $10,000. (Last year we had $10,000 set aside. Plus we had $750 in sponsorship money received.)
A pitch for adding some grant funding to supplement the Storefront Activation grant.
