SUGGEST A NAME FOR OUR PARK
You may have noticed the construction going on in the park at the corner of N. 56th Street and W. North Avenue. BID 16 Uptown Crossing owns that park and we hired KEI Landscaping to renovate it for us. Our plan is to make the park more event-friendly.
Bublr Bike already relocated the bike docking station from its original place on W. North Avenue to the west side of the park on N. 56th Street. And KEI has already centered the sculpture and installed pavers. You’ll see in the diagram below that half of the park will be pavers, shaded by two sun sails. And the other half will have grass for lounging. Two shipping containers will be placed on the south end of the park — one will be available for musicians and the other will be available for vendor pop-ups.
But get this. Ever since BID 16 Uptown Crossing acquired the lease for the lot, the park hasn’t had an official name. We’re hoping you can help us think of ideas.
